I recently adopted a 3 month old suggie about a month ago, her name is Ava
Well I brought her over to my mom's house last night for a visit and she noticed that Ava was itching all the places that kittens do when they have fleas. I was wondering if it is common for baby suggies to get worms and fleas like a kitten and if so, how do I get rid of them?
Also, I've noticed that when I boil fresh veggies her she tends to not eat them, but when I leave baby food for her she gobbles it up. Is it okay for her to just eat baby food since she doesn't like anything else?

Well if you really think that they have fleas you should go to a good vet that has experience with gliders.

I do not know for sure if gliders can get fleas or not, but she may just be grooming herself. That is how they groom themselves it just looks like they are scratching. You may also hear a noise like she is sneezing but she is spitting in her hands so that she can groom herself. I love the name Ava. I have an Ava and Grace.

Gliders can get fleas. Please call your vet, don't try to treat them yourself.

As for the veggies, have you tried giving them to her raw? Get some Spring Mix, mixed baby greens in a bag. My boys love them, they get Spring Mix at least every other day and eat 'em all up. They also like raw carrots (thin slices), cucumber, celery, radishes, bell pepper, broccoli (leaves and stems, but not the florets, goofies!), green beans, cabbage, tomatoes.

My possum vet has suggested that a heavy drop of revolution on their neck will assist them with very many parasites including fleas. Problem is, when in colony, they tend to groom on each other so the neck is no longer a place of no reach. If it is done, I would probably do such a treatment to one glider per night and keep them away from the colony for 24 hours so that the chemicals can be absorbed without disruption.

Being so small, I would avoid most typical remedies for flea control. They will inevitably ingest or breathe it and it could stop their little organs.

I would take her to the vet.

Taking her to the vet also gets her a complete exam. P.S. ask for a fecal test too.
