Okay, I know I haven't been on in a while but I'm going to get on more often and keep yall updated on how my suggies are doing, from now on.
Well here my question, I put a piece of fleece on the litter pan of my cage
and theres a grill that sit about an inch above the litter pan.
My girlies keep grabing the fleece and pulls it through the grill, what can I do to get them to stop that.
I have put the fleece on top of the grill but they just mess it up and it wont stay on the grill. Please help I need some advice.
Any answer will be really appreicated.

I'm not a fleece pan fan so I dont have your answer. I, and your gliders apparently, feel that fleece is for blankeys not for poopies. Nothing beats paper in the pan as far as I am concerned.

I do recommend that you line the bottom grate of the cage with something easier on the feet; a small plastic mesh.

I dont think that my grill comes out and what kind of paper can I use besides newspaper?

Butcher Paper is an interesting source for cage paper. Just order the size you need.

Kraft paper is neat too because you can get prints. One might as well use wrapping paper too.

Can I get the kraft paper at walmart?

Im sure you could find something at Walmart but it sounds like an expensive proposition. There is nothing wrong with using newspaper. I've been doing it since 1997. Keep it in the pan and all is fine.

We get multiple papers delivered daily for free so I have lots of material to use. I'll bet you could ask a few neighbors to collect papers for you and just tell them to drop them by the mailbox or on the front porch whenever.

Would the rubberlike stuff you put in your cabinets instead of contact paper work for the bottom of cage-easier on little feet?

I think that cabinet liner would trap the poop and the little bits of food, and it might be hard to clean. Fleece is easy because you can shake it out, wash it in the sink and hang on a towl rack to dry. I have probably eight or nine various pieces of fleece now for the bottom of the cage.

I buy a roll of paper that is 18" wide in the paint department at Lowes. It is perfect for lining the cage pan. The roll was about $6 but lasts for at least 6 months for my 3 cages.

I use end rolls of newspaper that can be purchased from your local newspaper pretty cheap. The rolls have no newsprint on them, they're just excess blank rolls of paper.
