Meeko's lump on his throat is gone. He has had a vet visit and given a shot on convenia. He isn't acting right yet :(

He just doesn't run as fast or act right at all. He was dehydrated earlier so I have been giving him pedialyte and diluted baby apple juice but he is just seriously not my Meeko :(
I am crying cuz Im so worried. I have done everything I can.

He also seems to be itching a lot now.. is he going to hurt himself by scratching too much :(

I tried to call Val but she didn't answer.. someone please tell me he is ok..

I've never dealt with anything like this, so I can't offer much advice.

Did you leave a message for Val? I am certain that she will call you back soon.

Is he scratching where the abcess ruptured? If so, it could mean it's healing. If he is scratching the wound site, you might want to put an e-collar on him so he cant injure injure himself.

But if he is scratching all over, another vet visit will be in order.

I was too scared that its too late and she would be mad so i didnt' leave a message. meeko is in the emergency cage because im too worried his brother is going to hurt him right now.. i think he was grooming not scratching. like he was licking his paw then scratching and repeat.. im not sure. he stopped scratching. now he is wrestling his stuffed animal so i think he may have been just real sleepy. Im goign to get up every 3 hours to give him more liquids and see if he has ate at all.
He did not lose any weight since his last vet visit in fact he gained 30 grams. he is 90 grams now. I think maybe im overreacting and being my anxious self. I dont want to lose him.. since he wont drink the normal water i diluted apple juice in his water bottle and he seems interested in it. I just want him to get some fluids!

ill let you know how he is in the morning. I think ill call the vet in the morning as well.

I am pretty sure that Val said previously that for emergencies you could call anytime, day or night. I don't think she'd be mad that someone called to ask her for help.

I offered him his favorite food which sadly isn't the best food for him but he really loves dried cranberrys.... he grabbed it quickly and munched away. i think we will make it through the night.. ill call val if he acts funny again
