Mine is similar to the first cage pic posted, except the doors on mine are different. It's taller than me at 6ft tall. The actual cage is 54". Love that it's tall and sturdy.

be carefull about the bird next to the gliders. i had finches in cages with the bars farther apart, they were too dumb to try to get out, but gliders were smart enough to get in. i didn't realize that birds are one of the natural foods in the wild. i couldn't be mad at my little man, he was only doing what comes naturally

Bigger birds will attack and/or eat gliders but I'm sure with smaller birds, gliders will do the same...either way it's not a good combo!!

Yep, hence some natural diets calling for day old chicks or pinky mice.
Gliders will eat birds and small mice! YUCK!

I don't recommend it..But it is OK for now.
I just <b>LOVE</b> the glider rooms..I have had an actual dream, where I had our glider room done..and (don't tell Hub but my BIG plan includes a few more fuzzbutts.....well they <i>were</i> in my dream!

I only let the gliders out when I'm in the room. Most of the time, they ignore her. Once or twice they've climbed through the bottom of her cage, but only using it as a way to get back to their own cage--but again, I watch them carefully too. She is bigger than most birds they would consider to be prey as well, so they tend to steer clear of her and don't seem interested in her at all. I know that smaller birds have been their prey before--heard a story of someone who put their Love birds in the aviary with their gliders, yeah, not pretty the next morning...
I think Misty likes to watch them more than they have any interest in her.

I just realized, I removed the top floor plastic tray..It is now the wire, with a fleece "rug"..<i>Looks</i> like they have more room, even tho' the area is the same dimensions.

I did the same thing I went and bought a fleece blanket for like $6 and cut strips and braided them to make some "vines" for my Butters.
