I saw that someone used felt as a decor on a cage pouch-is this ok?

I know in general decor is not considered needed and so is not "ok" but, I mean felt in general?

Felt is not breathable like fleece so it is not suitable for pouches.

It also disintegrates when you wash it.

That's good to know, I went to the store to buy fleece and got felt by accident. (stupid me)
The good thing is I only made toys not pouches. But I still need to make more stuff out of fleece, not felt.
