I came across this really neat concept and am fascinated that I have never searched for such a thing before. There exist nail clippers with grips or finger holds to stabilize in our big hands, they have lighted ones, and they have ones with magnifying glass attached. WHO KNEW! I'm excited. I am going to try them all!
You have to decide if you want a grip, a light and/or a magnifying glass. I think for tiny sugar glider nails you need to be able to see all the way to the cutter and perhaps from the side, so I am going to look for one that has no "guard" or any other obstruction or crud around the cutting blade so i can see better. A light seems like the most useful addition to basic clippers.
Post here if you have used some of these and or if you get some. Let's find out what works best for clipping sugar glider nails. There are so many makes and styles that I am just going to link you to a few searches so you can see them all for yourself.
I have a pair of the little blue baby clippers but the magnifying glass broke off. I think the light would be very beneficial. I always have to adjust the light or clip by a window to get some nice natural light.
Oh i love this idea! I usually have my boyfriend clip their nails since i am afraid to do it and even he sometimes nips the quick :-( This would be quite beneficial! Let me know if it works for you!
I always use the baby clippers on my gliders nails! Not the ones with the light or magnifying glass on them... Just plain old baby clippers! They give me a much better grip and they seem much more delicate!
