I'm thinking I'm gonna go with a raptor wheel for my little gliders. Any positive and negatives would be greatly appreciated! I want to make sure I'm getting the best wheel possible!

please note: I can't do the wodent wheels. It's unnecessary noise and hard to clean.

Yep, the Raptor is a great wheel. I was very lucky and won one!
I did have to take out the bottom grate to get it in their cage but it's easy to wipe down/keep clean.
I didn't put trimmer track sand paper on that one. My stealth wheel has that though and they do use it.

If you look at my cage set up that I posted a while back you can see that I have four wheels in my cage, for my four gliders. I do not have a raptor wheel but I do have 2 Wodent Wheels and 2 Stealth Wheels.

My babies prefer the Wodent Wheels and will actually all try to run in them at the same time (quite humorous to watch actually). They do use the Stealth Wheels (about 25% of the time)and, as many will attest to, they get to do the leaping thing in it. Since the Raptor is similar to the Stealth, I would say it is probably a good wheel. I can clean all four of my wheels in about 15 minutes.

Good Luck

Is it better than fast track?

That I can't say, I have not researched that one and don't have it. Maybe someone who has used both will jump in and comment on that.

I do know the Raptor and the Stealth wheels are very similar...I own one of each of them.

People with the custom cruiser seem to think they are great! Maybe do a search on "custom and cruiser" here and read some of the threads because I know I have seen them discussed.

Adore my Raptors... Its all I use, LOVE LOVE LOVE that they are made of all food grade materials vs the furniture grade of the stealth amongst many other "saftey and longivity" upgrades

My favorite wheels so far are the Stealth and the Custom Cruizer. I do have a few Raptors but still like the others better.

I have both a Raptor wheel and a Fast Track wheel.

Pros about the Raptor: it has a larger track/mesh (where the glider runs) which can hold two or three gliders, I got the side mount so it mounts to the side of my cage, the interior does not have anything poking out of it that can hurt my gliders or that they can chew on, I have had it for over a year and it doesn't wobble or bounce.

Cons about the Raptor: the track/mesh (where the glider runs) was bent when I received the wheel and I have not been able to correct it. :( (might have been a shipping error), it has a rather large white connector thing that connects the track/mesh. (gliders jump over it usually, because it's a side mount, hard to clean (but I would take that with a sturdy mount).

Pros about the Fast Track: it has a continuous track/mesh without the white connector thing like a raptor, I got the free standing so I can move it anywhere including out of the cage making it easier to clean.

Cons about the Fast Track: it is much smaller in width than the raptor, it has a small nub in the interior that my gliders have chewed on, wobbles/bounces (that's more my preference), without a zip tie holding it in place, it would move around the cage

My gliders love the Raptor wheel (which I got first). It took them some time to get used to the Fast Track (which I got a few months later) but now both wheels get used a lot. I think that both wheels are very good quality. I have 6 gliders so my next wheel is going to be a Raptor because of the larger width.

Hope this helps!

If you're getting a raptor wheel and you get it on the stand make sure you buy zip ties! I've learned from experience that gliders will run it out of its original spot and across the cage lol! But if you're getting it with the mount so you can mount it to the side of the cage then you're okay.

I would order the side mount. That is an option when you order the Raptor wheel. That is what I ordered and I really like that feature.

If you want to order the Raptor wheel, just do a search online and you will find it. You can also go on the search field on this forum and there is a link to his website.

...apparently I didn't either, I just recently figured it out why it wouldn't make it a link to click on...

I found the little tab up top when your posting replies, it looks like a globe with a chain link below it...if you click that you can paste a copy of your web link and it will.
