I heard that gliders shouldent eat dairy products such as yogart is this true

There is no proof that gliders are lactose intolerant, and yogurt with live cultures is actually very benifitual to them.

when i went to pet co to get suplies for keega the breeder told me to give her yogart in her diet but a pet co the printed us out some info and it said that dairy is a toxin and i dont want to hurt my baby

Pet stores really have no idea how to care for gliders. Heck, they recomend dry pellets, and anyone with even a little glider knowledge will tell you that dry pellets are a no no. Yogurt is great for her!

I have mentioned before that my glider absolutely goes bonkers for yogurt. I get him the organic low fat variety. It has a special fiber in it that helps increase calcium absorption. Plus live cultures galore.

We have always fed yogurt, the live cultures in the yogurt help control the bad bacteria. Also, builds their immune system. Just make sure you get the yogurt with NO ASPERTAME and the regular low fat, not the "NO FAT". Once the fatty products are removed from the yogurt it defeats the entire purpose of feeding the yogurt.

We even put a little milk in scrambled eggs, I'm not sure how the myth about lactose intolerance in gliders started, but it seems to have been put out several years back and those who have not done their research are still preaching it. Mainly Pet Stores.

Just remember that everything that you do feed, feed in moderation.
