Hey Guys,
I've posted on here before about one of my gliders ongoing condition and how it was taking a toll on me financially,and more recently I posted about how she began over grooming her tail and I was worried about the additional vet visits.
Well I just got back from yet another vet visit, once again regarding her tail, and I had no choice but to make an appointment to have her tail amputated next tuesday. I've been holding it off as long as possible and her vet has been kind in trying to give me different options, but an infection has started and it's likely to turn into gangrene, which would eventually kill her if left untreated.
The reason I am posting is because I need to know if anyone knows of an organization or simply has any ideas of what I can do in order to raise the money I need in order for her surgery to happen. The vet estimated that including antibiotics for the aftercare it would be around 200$. I love Bambi will all my heart, but she has been running me so tight on money and I am in a bind. Her appointment is already set, and her vet gave me as much time between today and her appointment that he thought was safe.
But my paycheck wont come in on time and I am so stressed out about what to do.
If you have heard of anything or anybody that could help me with this, please let me know. I know Bambi deserves someone who could afford more for her, I am doing the best I can :/

I have a Care Credit credit card. It can only be used for medical stuff, but that also include vets too. I keep it just in case of emergencies should my suggies ever get sick. In fact, I'm using it tomorrow for Sebastian's wellness exam and then again for his neuter on September 1st. More and more vets are taking Care Credit these days. Even my dentist will accept it. It would at least allow you to make time payments instead of the whole amount up front which can be tough.

I'm located in the Nacogdoches Tx area. Her vet is in Lufkin though.

Do you still have the appointment for the amputation ? And are you planning on keeping the appointment ?

Our group is a legal NON Profit group we maybe able to get you a discount. Can you give me the vets phone number? we can have someone call in the morning to see if they will do a discount.

The appointment is under Bambi Kuritz for 8am this coming Tuesday. Yeah, I still have the appointment and I plan on keeping it. I really don't have much of a choice. She's on antibiotics right now, but the skin of the tail is broken and she is continuing to make it worse. And circulation isn't flowing to the end of her tail. Apparently she's still at a safe place to amputate it, but if the infection spreads up her tail it'll be too close to amputate and the infection will eventually kill her. So yeah, definitely keeping the appointment for now. If the appointment date comes up and I don't have the money, then I'll cancel. But until Tuesday I'm going to do what ever I can to come up with the money.

Our group tried to call the number to see if they would do a discount but either they aren't open on Sat or it's not the correct number.

How much money do you think you can come up with for the procedure ?
