my female glider is 2 yrs old, this was her first she had 2 joeys they came out of pouch july 24, on july 27 i found the baby girl on the bottom of the cage cold, i put her back in the nest, 45 minutes later i went to check to see everything was ok and she was back on the cage bootom. she is doing well i am handfeeding her (i have experience with rejected joeys.)
here is my question i have been giving her a dish with a little formula in it after i feed her she is eating it, but she is messy and has formula in her fur, what is the best way to clean her up can i use a went cloth with a bit of baby wash, or just a wet (damp) cloth?

I've heard using baby wipes to clean sugar gliders is a good idea? I could be wrong and I don't know what type but I know it needs to be unscented

Don't use any cleaners. Run her under the sink tap, warm water, don't get her head wet! Work out the mess with your fingers. Only wash her head with wet fingers scrubbing her fur. No wipes, no soaps.

Towel dry and keep her on you until she's fully dry. Wrap her in tshirt cotton to absorb water and tuck her down your shirt.

This is a young rejected joey and she could get chilled VERY quickly.

I would NOT put her under running water soaking her fur to the skin.

Use a warm damp wash cloth to clean any food from her fur - cleaning only the surface of the fur where food is actually stuck. Keep her ON YOU until she is fully dry to prevent her from getting cold.
