I'm talking to someone on Craigslist about adopting a 10 month old male glider.. I asked if he was neutered n they said they didn't know..I know un neutered male will have a bald spot on the top of his head, but would the 10 month old have that already or is it to early?

Male gliders begin to mature and develop their scent glands on their head and chest about 4 months of age.

Where did the gliders come from? If they were originally purchased from Pocket Pets - the male would have been neutered before it was sold.

If the male does NOT have a bald spot on his head and a yellow scent gland in the middle of his chest at 10 months - it is very likely that he has been neutered.

Can you get a picture of his belly? You'd be able to see the intact pom if he is intact, or either no pom or a deflated pom if he is neutered.

Usually a bald spot would be a good indicator, but some males have smaller bald spots naturally, especially if he isn't around any female gliders. I have one intact boy who is 10 months old and has only a tiny sliver of a bald spot on some days...other days he doesn't have one at all. He's not a big scent marker, and I never see him rub his head on his cage mate, so I don't think he stimulates it enough. He does have a chest scent gland, though
