I'm looking for a rep-cal replacement, it would just be easier for me to find something I can get closer to home rather than ordering it only.

The only thing I have found was as a local store and it is called Repti Calcium. It is usally for reptiles and amphibians, but I was just wondering if it will work for my Suggies too....

It is phosporous free and can have either no Vitamin D or with Vitamin D....

I've included a link so you can take a look, I didn't want to give Tazz anything that was going to hurt him, so I figured I would ask everyone here first as I'm still in the process of finding a reliable vet closer to home!

Let me know whatcha think!

Walmart. Cheapest large tub of fruity antacid. Human grade calcium will beat the socks off of anything that is animal grade. Drop a single tablet into any mixes you make and you have a continuing source of calcium. Be careful to not over do it. Our gliders do not need much supplementing.

i use rep cal with vitamin d and they are all just fine although i do admit kazko has a point and it would probably be cheaper in the long run to use antacids

Rep-cal is a calcium supplement and the hertivite is a muti-vitamin.

A lot of people use the rep-cal in the BML diet and sprinkle it on the food if they dont use BML.

The only problem with sprinkling calcium over their food is you dont know their intake. You also risk over supplementing their calcium by sprinkling, which is just as bad as not giving them enough.

It is best to mix it in with their food instead of sprinkling it over their food. That way, they cant pick around it - possibly not eating it at all.
