It has been FOREVER since I have posted, but I am so concerned about my princess Sia I had to break the silence! Lately when she is out of her cage running about and hears a loud noise...like one of my Kid's laughing or a dog barking, she freezes..tenses up..her mouth opens wide...and she just stays like that. No matter what I do she stays like that for about 2-3 minutes. I immediatly bring her in a quiet room and talk quietly to her (usually hum a song and tell her what a good girl she is). The vet says she has never encountered something like this and everytime it happens i think she is going to pass away. Has anyone else had this happen to their baby? She is only 3 years old!
she is just startled i would guess....mine do this sometimes when there are things going on in the house even when they are used to the noises and stuff sometimes they just get scared
Gliders will automatically freeze if they feel they are in danger - or if they are listening intently to something. Im sure its nothing to be alarmed about.
