I'm sorry if this isn't the right spot for this, but I'm in a bit of need. I currently have a female sugar glider that I recently found out was from a mill breeder. Luckily, my little girl was one of the healthy ones because she hasn't had any problems. However, the breeder told us she would be fine on her own and unfortunately she's over grooming from being lonely. I've been trying to search for a sugar glider here in Colorado, but I'm not having any luck and unfortunately I can't afford to pay some of the high prices that I see for gliders online(even though I'm sure they're worth it) . If anyone knows of anyone that has one they'd be willing to adopt out or could provide me with some information on where I might be able to find one at a reasonable price I would really appreciate the help. There is a glider rehoming page on this website you could look at, but you may need to do some travelling if you're looking for low prices or looking to adopt one glider (many rescues will only adopt pairs out, and many people need more than one glider rehomed). Make sure you take your glider to the vet, over grooming isn't necessarily due to being lonely and the vet can make sure there's no underlying condition causing it.

I would be open to taking 2 sugar gliders. The only concern I've had about that is whether or not it's hard to bond the one I currently have with a pair that's already bonded. I will take her to the vet, part of the reason I think it's due to loneliness is because I had to go on a trip for a couple weeks and I left her with my friend who owns suggies and after I brought her home when I returned is when she started over grooming.

I know there's no concern with bonding to a HUMAN when they come in pairs, so I would assume it'd be no problem bonding to another glider as well. They live in colonies so as long as they both accept her (which is a 50/50 shot even if you only get one or a bonded pair), it should be fine.
