Here I go again.

SO!
I read somewhere on this site, the BML diet plan with REP-CAL has a chemical in it that over a long period of time- can hurt your Gliders.

Methionine I believe it was? I cannot find the old thread in the archives.

I just wanted some confirmation on this since I'm thinking about making the BML diet for my suggies.

Currently, I use a diet the breeder gave me when I bought my first Glider from her. Ithil looked super healthy, bright eyed, and full of energy when I got her so I've kept with the same diet since my Glider looked very healthy with that blend.
However, I want to do what's best for my Gliders. Last time I inquired about this diet, I decided to change it and tried out the instant HPW.
I hated it, the Gliders hated it, it was all bad. So I deflected back to what we know.

Currently the staple I'm feeding them is listed below

Staple Mix: 1 cup of apple juice
1 jar of baby food (protein) (No Garlic, seasoning, or Onion)
1 jar of baby food (fruit or vegetable)
¼ cup of honey
1 hard boiled egg
½ chicken breast boiled (no spices)
1 non-fat yogurt cup (6oz)
1 teaspoon of calcium powder- (Now Calcium carbonate)
1 teaspoon of bee pollen

Put everything in a blender and mix well. Put into ice cube trays, cover and freeze. ((Batch is still lasting me through the month))
Once completely frozen, place all ice cubes in a Ziploc bag. Give one cube per glider and let defrost and then mix back to smoothie consistency

So far, this seems to work and both gliders get a wide variety of fresh fruits and veggies daily.

I posted this before, and I was informed the baby food veggie/fruit makes the glider eat fiberous things that sugar gliders don't usually eat and will reject.
So I'm thinking I might remove it if I make another batch.

Also, I greatly cut back on distribution of bee pollen, and added the calcium since breaking down eggshells was becoming a huge pain.

Anyways; yes please. Comments, suggestions, etc.

I just woke up from a nap and don't have the slightest idea where to start with sorting this one out so I am going to direct you to Bourbon and let her explain it as it's her diet ( Bml ) https://www.facebook.com/bourbonh

I'm not familiar with the recipe your using sounds like something the breeder threw together in a blender which aren't what staples are. On a side note, make sure to inform your vet that your feeding bee pollen before they have any fecals done. Bee pollen can give a false read for parasites.
