Hello all.

So ive had my gliders for about a week now. A male and a female. Neither have crabbed or bitten me thus far. Both are at a stage where they approach me openly, which I think is pretty good so far.

I stuck my arm in their cage and both started climbing on my arm. The male glider started scraping his teeth on my hair. He isnt trying to hurt me. I get the sense he is cleaning me?

Is this good or bad for the bonding process?

Thanks

The moment they start grooming you is an epic milestone. They're Starting to accept you as part of their colony, which is a good thing. :)

My understanding is...
he is trying to MARK you just like he will mark his cage with his scent, he is marking you with his scent, so he knows you are part of his property/ territory.
when our gliders did this he/she would pinch my skin with teeth and it hurts some. they can do this for awhile so I would gentle move them away.

My wife's glider will groom her neck. arm. face for quite a while sometimes.
