Hello all,

I’ve been considering 3D printing some glider toys, but I haven’t found a lot of info on what types of plastics are okay for gliders in case they chew them. Does anyone have info on that or know where I can find out?

We have PLA and ABS currently, but we can look into others if there are safer varieties. (My cats like to try and sneak bits of the PLA to chew on and play with...so definitely want to make sure it’s not harmful to gliders before attempting.)

I've used PLA as it is supposed to be safe to eat off of for humans. I have read that ABS can give off some nasty fumes while printing so I would be concerned at least during the printing process if not for the chance of ingestion.
We have several 3d printed toys in their cage and I don't believe my little ones have chewed any of them even though they chew other plastics like monkeys and their kitchen
