I haven’t had sugar gliders for too long. I just got their nails cut about a week ago, and they are already tearing up my hands with their claws. I know sugar gliders have sharp nails, but does anyone have any advice? I have a raptor wheel and I’ve heard of putting sand paper (I think it was) in it to prolong the time in between trimmings. Does anyone do this or have any other advice?

our nail cuttings last about 2 to 3 weeks. I do have sandpaper is some of
the wheels but dont think it does much. My wife does cut the nails short
without hitting the quik, she has gotten good at it.
so all I can say is cut them nails when needed.
