Hello, again I am new to the Glider family. We just got our little girl about 3 days ago and for the first few days she was just sleeping and not active, today she is running around the cage like a crazy person on meth (hehe) nonstop, I am worried is this OK I tried to take her out to bonding, but she was so active I was scared she run away and not return.

Is this normal, please advise?

Thanks
Mr Abdi.

She was probably just nervous about being in a new place for those first few days, and now she's feeling more comfortable and is excited about exploring the cage and her new place. If you take her out at night, make sure that you are in a glider safe place (outlets covered, mouse traps removed, breakable things taken away, a towel under the door so she can't squeeze out, etc) so that if she does get away, she won't get hurt.
Gliders are naturally very active and energetic. I wouldn't worry about it. :) Does she have a glider safe wheel? They absolutely LOVE their wheels and it gives them a good outlet for all of the energy!

It helps if the cage is HUGE. It helps to have a cage-mate. It helps to actually spend time with the animal late night. But a young animal will be a young animal with tons of energy.
