I just bought 2 gliders from local breeder 3 days ago.

She sent me pictures where the eyes on both were black but then when I got them home I saw one of them has pure white pupils. The outside is black and the center is white. The breeder told me she thinks its genetic but I'm unsure! It doesn't look right. She is a 2 month old female, no other symptoms like discharge or swelling.

Is this normal?

"Fatty eye disease" in sugar gliders usually refers to
corneal lipid infiltration or cataracts caused by high-fat diets, obesity, or, in some cases, excessive fat in the mother's diet affecting her joeys. This condition manifests as white, cloudy spots in the eye that can lead to blindness.
