When they bite they are being naughty and I am assuming that it is not a phase. My sugar glider ,Sophie, had been biting me but I watched a video by Dr. David Brust and he just had me hold the glider... by the index finger on top of the head, thumb under chin and the rest of the fingers go around the gliders body. I used that trick when she was naughty and now she is a whole lot better.
