Leelayou're very welcome :D I'm sure Candy will post on your Reeps thread once she see's it. I think out of everyone here she has the most diet experience and is probably one of few who will be familiar with that diet

LeelaMy gliders are on a staple I designed myself, they stopped eating the 2 other diets I was feeding them. BML is one of the most common diets that is widely used, but it also has some drawbacks, it is a very high calcium diet and requires specific fruits and veg to be fed with it to balance the diet out. A member here named Candy has a few good diets on her website you can take a look at http://www.gliderkids-diet.com/Staple-Recipes.html The recipes should be followed exactly to keep the calcium and phosphorous ratio the way it is supposed to be for that diet. Do you live in the united states? I only ask because in some countries the ingredients aren't the same or can't be found. So pick a recipe that you can get all the ingredients that are needed..

LeelaAhh, I've only looked into Reep's a little bit, it's not a widely used diet really there are some concerns regarding high iron levels in this diet. The other thing about this diet is it is a high protein diet, which can sometimes make gliders smell stronger. HPW is another diet that uses wombaroo high protein powder and a few folks say their gliders have a stronger smell. There is always controversy no matter what diet you choose and many gliders are picky when it comes to the "staple" part of their meal. You could try a different staple and see if that helps with the gliders overall smell.

Diana09Yes he is neutered which is why I find it weird and I feed them the Reep's Wombaroo diet

Leelamales don't usually come into maturity until they are about 4 months old. When they reach maturity, if they haven't been neutered is when they really develop a bad smell. This is because the scent gland on top of their heads starts to develop. He's pretty young to be doing that. And you have had him neutered so that scent gland shouldn't develop like an intact males would. What I'm saying is He shouldn't have to bad of smell because he's young and neutered. What are you feeding them??

Leelahow old is your new boy ?

LeelaYW :) I do mix them together but I haven't really measured anything I just eye ball it. You can also add a little vinegar or baking powder to the washing machine for fleece stuff. I usually wipe down the cage with plain water after washing it with the mixture just get as much soap residue off as possible. Dawn dish soap is safe to ingest in small quantities and so is vinegar so it's not a huge thing if you don't rinse it off...
