 smell??

Hi I'm new to this. I have a question. I had 1 sugar glider for about 3 months before I decided to get her a friend. When it was just her by herself we had no problems with smell. Now that I bought her a friend and had him neutered( I heard it would help with the smell) their cage smells alot and its starting to bother my mom. Any tips or ideas to reduce odor?? I appreciate it in advance

Leela THANK YOU FOR COMMENTING. And oh ok so ill tell my mom to be patient we have only had him for 1 month. So he's just a baby still. So I am doing some things right...I have been washing their stuff with unscented soap. Also for the solution do you mix all 3 together?

tIt can take a while for the smell of a male glider to get better after a neuter. It took a couple months before my males smell was tolerable. Your boy is still probably marking things in the cage to make it smell like "him". Sometimes the more you wash the things in the cage the more it will make the male "mark" it back up to stink again. Try using unscented laundry soap when you wash pouches and fleece things. And you can use a solution of dawn dishsoap some vineagar and water to wipe the cage down. Vinegar can help with the smell...
