I got a joey three weeks ago. He was 7 weeks out of pouch and very adorable:) he used to crab every once in awhile but never showed any aggression. I took him everywhere in his bonding pouch and would play with him. He's getting bigger now since its been three weeks. He wouldn't really come to the front of the cage but when I would put my hand in the cage next to him he always choose me over his cage. When he was with me sleeping in his bonding pouch i would put my hand in there with him and he would tangle himself up in my fingers to sleep. He would sleep in my hand if I took him out. At night when he would wake up he would bite my fingers hard and softly like in a playful way it seems? (is that aggression or play??) He never crabs or lunges at me . But last night it seemed to backtrack. He would jump off my hand and would go to the back of the cage to get away from me it seemed.. This morning it's still the same. He holds on to his cage when I try to grab him. Does he need space? Or what's the problem?
This is my only sugar glider..
