 Update & Questions ?!

So i have now had my sugar gliders for about....a month. And they still are not bonded with me. They still nibble...And they like to play with me but not a lot....I put a hamester wheel in their cage and they dont get in it? I dont know really any other toys to get them! I have some ribbons...Some straws...Some cat toys...But what else should i get that they would be more than happy with! I love them to death...they are the best animals ever...and i never leave them at my house when i go somewhere for the night! They have also been making these noises...not crabbing...not barking...but its kinda like a squeaky hissing noise! Does anyone know what that is? & i also am curious...what more could i do for them to bond with me?! How long did it take you?!

the sqeaky hissing noise probably means that they could mate very soon. at least what i have read about breeding sugar gliders.

I love decorating my baby`s cage.Go to any petsore,or even Walmart,and pick out some bird toys.I would get some bird toys that have bells on them.Even toddler toys(nothing too small).Also,you can make some homemade toys with no sew fleece.Here`s a link to a website that has PLENTY of glider information and fun no sew ideas.This link will bring you directly to the no sew ideas. http://www.suzsugargliders.com/nosewaccessories.htm And yes,do not use a hamster wheel,for too,too, long.Although I have one in my baby`s cage,the breeder put that in there,but she doesn`t seem to be any problems.Hope this helped and good luck!

Please do not use cat toys. Catnip is toxic to gliders and it will kill them! Dont use hamster wheels as well. They can get their tail torn off! You can go to the petstore and get plastic bird toys. go to walmart and buy some fleece and braid it to make ropes. Small animal toys are good. Any toys for newborn and todlers are good as well. Look at some of the pics that are on our profiles to get some ideas.

I am a junior in high school. I participate in band & power lifting. The only animals i have are my two sugar gliders. My mom has one cat that lives with us. I'm pretty much an only child because my half brother lives with my dad and i live with my mom.
