Well, you had a good idea about rubbing my girls all over you tomorrow. We will do that. I use free and clear laundry detergent because my skin does the same with like any kind of laundry detergent that isn't free and clear. So yeah, won;t have much interference of other chemicals here.

My hives were horrible. I had a reaction to the new carpet that was put it when I moved in here and it lasted for two years. Oatmeal baths can help; we will go to drug mart tomorrow and get you some cheap. The topical hydrocortisone cream never worked with me, the diphenhydramine cream did. I put it on while on benadryl even though it says not to and was fine. The rashes calmed down after a while but still happened every now again, until I became a vegetarian. I think I may have been having a reaction to red meat too, not just the carpet. Since then the only time I have had hivey problems was with the allergic reaction to the medication, but those were more welty.

Anyways, I am so the girl to come to with hive problems. I can't tell you what you are allergic to or make choices but I know how to live with them and make comfort better. We will get you set up tomorrow.

Rheasha, you might consider trying an air scrubber.

Here are some AIR SCRUBBER listings.

You need one that has cheap prefilters to collect the large debris and then a good quality hepa filter. You can also add charcoal filtration to manage odors.

A DIY person can make their own version of this using a squirrel cage blower and box/air handler from an old HVAC system or the likes. You can find air handlers on craigslist for cheap if not free. Add in some filtration to do the job and you have a cheap air scrubber.

Hepa filters never seem to be cheap though.

Another option is to put a blower in the window near the cages and have it exhaust air out all of the time. Moving air will help to keep cages dry which will lower smell and possible bacterias and such.

Well I got some zyrtec and Holly's gliders didn't make me break out. I think it might be the nail thing actually because her gliders nails are much shorter than I ever cut mine. I wont say for sure.

I also wanted to add that we have this big shaggy rug in the bathroom that smells horrible and since I've taken it out I don't start coughing so much in there. We have water spots on the cieling from when the people above us had a leak and they replaced all but that spot. Its not a normal water spot, its bright red... we're going to have the maitenence office check it out.

Anyway. just wanted to update this.
