As you all know I have two little suggies! And I like to make them their toys, pouches, ect and I was wondering if any of you all had and toy ideas I can try with them. So if there is any can I see pictures of it and can you tell me how your suggies like it. Please and thank you :)

Plastic drinking straws - Barrelfull of Monkeys (childs game) any kind of Fisher Price toddler or baby toys. Braided fleece ropes.

What do you do with the straws? Also my stores where I live don't carry barrelfull of monkeys :( cause no one buys them. I do have some toddler toys and fleece ropes.

Barrelfull of Monkeys are one of the all time favorite glider toys. Do you have a Target or a Toys R Us around you? They both sell them.

You can do several things with the straws. Lots of us just weave them between the cage bars. You will get up in the morning to find straws (and monkeys if you can find them) all over the floor!

I'll have to go check the target near me. Ok I'll try the straws :)

One of my gliders' favorites is a strand of strong string with beads on it and a plastic latticed cat toy. It's on a lanyard hook so it hangs from the top of the cage. I put treats or straws in the cat toy and they love fishing them out. There's also a small cow bell on the end. They love it so much they drag the end of it into their pouch and sleep with it every night! haha.

definately straws and monkeys. Mine absolutely love the pull tabs things and rings from the milk gallons. I have some plastic chain linked type toys that they love to jump to and swing on. Plastic balls like ping pong, wiffle or cat toys with the bell or another plastic ball inside..never with catnip though...

i take scrapes of fleece like when something has been nosew and untied and those pieces cut off i put them in a bucket type thing in the cage and they love to jump in it and throw them everywhere i also hide the cat balls in there so they have to find them they like that

the little girl i nanny loooves my "chi-wow-wies" (i had baught her a sugar glider stuffed animal at the museum like a year before i got my guys,which she names chiwowwie. so, i was showing her pictures of them before i got them and she basically screamed "youre getting chiwowwies!!!!" shes the only person that can call them by another name...hehehe)

ANNNYWAY, she gave the chiwowwies some of her monkeys and bunnies to play with and as soon as i put them up krumm and yoda were on the hunt! im pretty sure it took them all of 5 min to get them down the first night! they love them!

also yoda loves to pull straws out of a small wiffle ball :) if you put them in so they juststay you can "hang" the straw-ball by weaving a straw in the top! its fun to watch their little hands attack!

Mine LUV LUV LUV the gallon milk pull tabs. I hang them everywhere and my babies luv them. they also luv to do their circus act on the hammock (its close to the top so they run cartwheel circles on it) I got them cat balls w/ bells inside for Christmas and they luv those also. The wiffle ball with straws is great.You can also add feathers (Walmart carries dif colored ones in the craft section. Mine adore feathers. Hope that helps.

I feel so lucky that I happened to find the barrel full of monkeys at target when everyone says they can never find them there lol

Everytime I go to Target, I always pick up more monkeys. They always have them. The reason I always get them is the nearest Target is over an hour away from me.

My gliders LOVE the drop and giggle giraffe!!!

Wow I feel so dumb. I didnt know my gliders would play with toys like that. I have only had them for 3 months, but the only toys i have in their cage are bells/bird toys hanging. And balls with little bells in them.

What type of toys do they enjoy best? Things that can carry around? Or things to interact with.. like noise making things?

Oh Thehyland I am going to steal some of your toy ideas if that is ok with you lol. I didn't know you could put those little army men in there. My brother has a butt load so im going to steal some lol.

I have a barn in one of my cages that makes noise, but I don't think the gliders are heavy enough to activate any of the sounds. Last night, I woke up to the barn making noise and all of my gliders were completely still. I think it scared them. Mine like the plastic milk tabs and monkeys..things they can pick up and throw...or take back to their pouch with them. The monkeys are about 6 or 7 bucks, and the milk tabs are just as fun and free (kind of). Mine like anything they can climb through too...l have the giraffe in THEHYLAND's picture and they love crawling through it. A lot of us have pictures of our little guys playing and cage setups in our photo albums, I've gotten a few good ideas from those!

A plastic basket full of kitty balls and monkeys, and stick straws through the sides to be pulled out; good in the tent or the cage:

Mine like things that dangle from the top of the cage; things they can carry around like monkeys and even little fleece squares; things they can climb in. They're in and out of the giraffe all the time, but they've never made it giggle ... and they kind of liked the finger drum kit, http://www.sugarglider.com/glidergossip/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25706 but didn't seem too sure about what it was doing. They'll warm up to it soon, I bet.

Oh kinda like a ball pin that little kids play in? I have a bunch of easter eggs that you put candy in can I use those? I was thinking about making toys out of them be wasnt to sure if they were safe.

Yes, and if you put yoggies or mealies in the eggs, your gliders will open them -- or so I've read, I haven't thought to do it. What fun that would be!

Haha that would be fun. I think I might do that for a easter egg hunt. Hide eggs all over the cage and put treats in them.

I bought my babies barrel of monkeys but what am i supposed to do with them? Do i hang them in the cage or just leave them in the barrel??

You can hang them as TheHyland has done in the picture above, where they're all scattered around the cage; or you can make a long chain and drape it across the cage; or you can make short chains; and hook the cat balls in, too, alternating monkeys with the balls. It really doesn't matter, however you have them in the evening, they'll be all over the place in the morning. Don't forget to check the pouch, my boys love to take monkeys in to sleep with them.

My girls will take the straws milk carton tabs and monkeys in one ofthere pouches then sleep in one of the other ones lol I clean it out every other day, it's like there toy box. Lol

Mine love the barrel of monkeys, i have baby link rings, and a whirly-gig that i got online.... they have untied two of the strings and and pulled the plastic beads off. oh, and cat balls....

Awww I am so excited now. I want to wake up and find them sleeping wtih little plastic monkeys. That is too cute.
What is it about plastic drinking straws that are fun to them?
Do they just bat them around and stuff?
I guess I am new to gliders and do not understand their intelligence level yet haha

So far these are my babies favorite toys.

The straws through the hanging wiffle ball. They pull them out by playing with them and then in the morning I find their pouch full of straws.

You can also see a monkey in that pouch as well. Sometimes at night I can see them playing with those straws IN THE POUCH. The pouch just bounces all around the spot it's hanging in while they play in there. It's just so cute and funny to listen to them.

hehe my babies finally discovered the monkeys. Meeko seems to enjoy the empty barrel more than anything though.He gets inside it and rolls around in it. No monkeys in the pouch yet. Maybe their relationship with the monkeys hasn't reached that level ;)

Lol a lot of them seem to perfer the barrel. I wasn't aware that they could have it so I don't have mine anymore. :(

Hes in love with the barrel. I dont think he has let Milo even near it haha
