We had a girl and boy -- they mated - we ended up with 2 joeys and then we had the male fixed. We have to move and arent able to take them with us, so we found a good home for 2 of them - have the male and female (the original pair) left. The female has develped a bald spot around her shoulder blades... I dont know if this is related to stress in loosing the other 2 gliders, or if it is a medical condition. We need to find a home for them -- but the glider rescue here in the Dallas area isnt taking any more gliders and I wont just give them away. Does anyone have any suggestions on her medical problem and finding a home for them? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would suggest taking her to the vet to see what her problem is before finding her a new home. Since she is now in your care, that is your responsibility to continue her medical care.

If you should find someone interested in them, you have to let them know she has a problem.

agree with Rita.

She is probably over-grooming over the stress of losing her babies being taken away. they hate that, just like humans hate losing children
