Has anyone tried to combine two different pairs of gliders before? This is something I would like to do because of the limited space in my apartment and to get a well-deserved cage upgrade for my newest rescues/re-homed pair. Any suggestions? I wouldn't want to introduce one at a time because of the stress it would put on the single glider until he/she is then introduced into the colony. Just wanted to see what you guys thought about the situation. =)
Both pairs are one male and one female. All males are neutered.

I recently finished introducing my trio of two females and one neutered male to another neutered male. I followed normal introduction procedures of trading pouches then cages. Then I introduced them on at a time in the tub. After I did single introductions I later on put them all in a tent together. I let them play in the tent together for three days in a row. Then the next morning put my single male in my trios cage in his own pouch because everything had been going smoothly with intros. I slept next to the cage that night in case of any fights. Luckily I didn't wake up to any fights. He has now been in there three nights without any problems.

I wish you luck!

Have all gliders been vet checked and had fecals done? Have you done the 30 day quarantine period before allowing the new gliders to meet your current gliders?

If all the above has been done, start by moving their cages side by side, but not so close they can reach each other. After a week or so, start switching sleeping pouches and toys. After another week or so, switch cages - meaning put each pair of gliders in the other pairs cage.

Then start introducing them one at a time to each other in a neutral place. The bathtub is a good place for introductions as you can watch them and separate if necessary. Dont have a sleeping pouch as you dont want them to start fighting in the pouch.

Rita, I forgot to place into my previous post that I have introduced gliders before and I'm well knowledgeable about the process of this. This post was for suggestions about introducing pairs of gliders. I'm sorry that you had to type all of that. T_T'
