Hi all, I'm having troubles with sugar ants. I always put in the apples and after a few hours, the ants are crawling all over it. I have totally no idea where those ants are coming from. How do I stop it?

I use plain borax (purchase in the laundry detergent section at most grocery stores).

I dust a small amount under the paper that I line my cages with to kill insects. It is non toxic for the gliders but I put it out of their reach.

You can also put a small dish under each of the cage wheels and put a small amount of the borax powder there - the ants will not be able to cross it. A dish of water under each wheel will also keep the ants out but I always manage to spill that or my dogs try to drink it.
