Ok so I did some reading by searching biting on this site and others, I have tried licky treats like honey and yogurt I've let Cocco get used to my scent for over 2 weeks but she still wants to bite. She bites so hard that she draws blood. Could she like the taste of blood. When i offer her a treat she perfers to bite me, I have 2 gliders and Cocco is the older one she is 2 1/2 years old. My younger one16 months bonded with us very quickly. I have been carrying them around for 7-8 hours everyday in a bonding pouch. Does anyone have any idea how I can get her to stop biting?

hmmm. ill have to think on this one. usually the psst sound works. when do u handle her? before u eat, after, or do you wear a perfume?(im just trying to see if something is bothering her to make her bite you.)

mabye she just has a biting problem. if it was nipping and didnt hurt then i would say as long as she doesnt draw blood let it go. but thats not the case. have you tried ignoring her and not getting her out for like a day? or seperatingh her from the other one? mabye if u ignore her she will stop to get attention?

Do you know anything about Cocco's history before you got her? One of my gliders that was a rescue and had been in at least 3 homes before joining my family was a biter also. She looked like she had been teased with treats. When I showed her a treat she would grab at it with both paws and try to grab it with her teeth all at once - frequently missing and chomping on my finger in the process. I used a small baby spoon to hand her treats until she learned that if I offered it to her it was hers to eat. No teasing here.

It took a couple months before she trusted me enough to take a treat gently from my fingers.

Be very patient with Cocco. Try offering licky treats on a straw or a spoon handle. Even a popsicle stick would work until she learns to trust you enough to stop biting.

Well she is aggresive about her treats, the previous owner didn't say anything about the biting maybe she is traumatized by something in her past I'm not sure though, I'm still trying to touch her as much as I can comforting her with treats but whenever me and boyfriend are around she feels so cautious walks so slowly like she is afraid of us, is there anything else I can do to comfort her? Please let me know thank you

two weeks is not long at all. She will need more time. Keep doing what you are doing. Try this. when you are sitting down with them relaxing. Put your hand in the pouch and pet/love on them. Yes you will still get bit but after a while she should get use to you. I could take anohter week or even months/years and maybe never.

Well, I've had mine for about.. a week on Wensday, and she still bites me. Actually she bit my ear today, kinda funny.
I've only drawn blood once. Give her time, make her come to you.

I agree two weeks isn't long at all. We had one that bit for MONTHS. She took a lot of time and patience. Tent time was most helpful with her out of all of mine. I can tell you though, she is 3 years old now and has not so much as nipped in over 2 years. I could stick my finger on her mouth and she won't even bite now. It is all about trust.
