As you guys may know, Cammi and Toto were making very good progress with us. Cammi was jumping around playing on us, and Toto was climbing a bit on us and letting us pet him. We recently moved into Trav's family's second house while babysitting Trav's bro, and since weve been here, Cammi has been shaking a lot. Shes crazy skittish, and jumps at the SLIGHTEST movement. Everytime I go into the room shes in, she's just sitting on her hammock, not doing much. And Toto seems to have taken a giant step backwards. During tent time we'll get him to come out of his pouch, and he'll start scrambling to find a hiding spot. He actually struck and tried to srsly bite me last night. He's NEVER done that before. Any time we try to pet him he'll run or try to bite us. Idk whats going on with them. Is it just the new surroundings, and the fact they don't recognize any of the scents? Or could there be something else wrong?

it could just be the new surroundings. try putting something in their cage that has your smell on it so they have something they are familiar with. or carrying them around in the bonding pouch when you can it will help with bonding and make them feel safer. just keep an eye on them hopefully they will calm down soon. how long are you going to be there?

Were only going to be here until Sunday. Weve put a few fleece pieces with our scent on them throughout their cage. Weve tried to put them in their pouches, but theyre actually crabbier than usual, and have trouble going back to sleep. And I worry about their sleeping habits anyway, so I let them rest throughout the day.
Cammi was also barking last night. I've never heard her bark before. It was bizarre lol

Barking is typically to locate other gliders or to seek out your attention. If my girls, who aren't THAT bonded to me yet, go more than a day without me 'bugging' them, they bark until I talk to them and play with them a bit.

I'd say it's definitely their new surroundings. New scents and sounds aren't something they always take to very well. They may not even act normal right away when you get back home either as they'll probably be confused all over. It may be a little step backwards, but just give them some extra attention for a while. Treats help too! :)

Idk what to do now. Cammi wont even let us touch her now. I tried to pet her in the cage, and she crabbed and tried to bite me. And we just tried to get her out of her cage and she bit us and ran underneath a dresser. I dont know whats going on with her. Shes literally been as sweet as can be and very fun up until now. Even during tent time she climbed on us and we could pet her and everything. Now, she starts crabbing the minute we walk into the room.

Idk whats going on. It seems like theyre moving backwards. We try to play with them, but they just bite us, and freak out. And when we put them in the pouch they crab constantly. Im so confused.

After this long, they should be coming around, especially with "their people" present. How are their appetites? Have you seen any other changes, as in energy levels or sleeping longer periods? There may be something in the air that's affecting them. Are there CO2 or radon detectors in the house? Any time gliders show a marked change in behavior, a vet visit is a good idea.

Theyre eating normally. They sleep a lot more than normally. I'm going to try to go to the vet next week, but I live 2 hrs from the closest vet, and weve just been extremely busy this week, because ive had midterms and babysitting, so we just havent had the time. Hopefully monday Ill get the chance to get down there. I'm pretty sure theres nothing in the air. This is an extremely nice house, and it was just recently completely remodeled from top to bottom. So I dont think thats it.
I honestly dont know. But its stressing me out >.<

I hope so. Cammi's been so lethargic. It's not like her. When we first got her, she was jumping around and fine with us touching her and holding her. Its just weird that she would go backward

Well, at first they were terrified because of the new surroundings. They still mght be. The bitingxand attackng you however is because they have established a pattern of behavior now. You will need to snap them out of this. Even if that requires you starting from scratch. The worst thing you can do is pull away and walk away when they act out to this extent. You validate their behavior. Take your time, move slowly and coo at them constantly, give them licky treats, take the bites when they come, and get them out during the day and either in your shirt (between layers) or in a bondng pouch. They will come around.
