Hello, Im a new suggie owner to two males.Zim and Gir.
Right now they are in a pretty small bird like cage.Big for a bird just small for 2 suggies. We are in the process of making them a very big cage.
But I have seen some post were ppl have said they have rooms for the suggies.
I was just wondering how this works out?
Some have said they let them play all nite out of their cage. What do You put on the floor?
I have a 10x10 room that is just sitting empty and would love for them to have a whole room for them to glide in and play. But I have children so being sanitary is important.

Also when they have a room to play in is it hard to bond and play with them. Will they play with you if they have a room.

So far our the suggies love to come out and crawl all over us.I havent read to much on bonding as of yet but will be.

I have a room that they stay out all night in, or at least, they have the option. I just leave the cage doors open. Glider proofing is SO incredibly important. It still is very hard for me to talk about what happened a few nights ago, but this is a direct result of letting them out the entire night. I thought I had all the bases covered.

I had the floor tiled so it's fairly easy clean-up. I do vacuum it daily and wipe up any other spots on the floor. I wouldn't have kids play in there. They take food to the weirdest places too. I love them having that freedom, but there are always risks to not having them safely closed in their cages at night. I have been having them stay in the cages since last Thursday as I'm paranoid until my husband fixes the cabinet now. They do have two large flight cages hooked together though so they don't lack play space even if they don't get out all night. Regardless, I make sure they are out to play if I'm not going to let them out all night and yes, they still definitely interact with me.

Thank you for the info, Im very sorry for ur loss.

As of right now the room is totally empty. There is no closet doors either just shelves. It would just have their cages and toys. And whatever I put in there for them.
It is newly carpeted in there to, so I would have to see about getting something to go over the floor.
I wouldnt let my kids play in there either, but the suggies are a family pet and they are also bonding really well with them.So they would be going in.
By sanitary I mainly mean smell and stains.
