I have 2 gliders that I might have the wrong info on their sex. I have a male (i was told a male) he is 1 year and 3 months oop and has not developed a bald spot or the "fuzzy" belly button. I got him from a breeder and she did not say he was fixed. I also have a female (i was told a female) I got her from someone who could no longer care for her. she is 5 months oop and it looks as though she may not have a pouch slit and my husband thinks that her fur is thinning on her head. I know we have not confused them. Is it normal for a male to be so late in developing his scent glands and could it be so early that my "girl" if she is a boy is developing scent glands? Any help would be appreciated.

If he is truly a male and not neutered, he would have his poms on his belly from the time he's born. They don't develop later on as this is his testicle sac. It can get removed if he was neutered though. Are you able to ask the breeder if he was neutered? Yes, it is uncommon he would not have his bald spot by now.
