Plain old KY Jelly or a small amount of Vaseline. Apply with a Qtip.

You'll want to watch for discoloration or swelling. If he's not retracting because he's swollen, he might need to get into the vet. If he retracts it and then has it back out, he's probably just being a boy. If you notice it turning purplish or getting a dark color, it's time to get a vet's help. Hopefully, he'll retract it and go about his business!
