I've been working on a cage top playground for my trio. Every time I do out of cage play with them, they're trying to go up there. So I figured I may as well make it safe and fun for them. This is still in experimental stages with design, but hopefully this photo attaches to show the current configuration.

I would think they would love that, just like being on top of trees in the jungle.

I tried that with mines... they explored and play 15 minutes, and then they considered that jumping on their human was more fun apparently

in our play room when we sit down, they get on us but only some. if we stand up and walk around its like a magnet, they jump all over us.

Yeah, mine were pretty much on me or going back into their cage, with exception of occasional trying to get on top of the cage.

Due to my current living situation and the past previous since I first moved to AZ (then back again). They've not had very adequate out of cage play accommodations, so out of cage time has suffered for a very long time, with few and far between. We had been out of routine for so long, fitting them in when I can. Now, to establish a much needed routine, I've had to try to get creative, but still limiting them in my bedroom (which is very small). They've been getting very bored and not really interested on staying out of their cage for too long as of late, I had to figure out something and work on expanding a territory they could explore, but remain safe.

I let them have accesses to one of my desk shelves and they were interested for a while, but that only lasted so long with them trying once again to go up top of their cage. This is when I realized that they needed a rooftop playground. I began planning a way to still have storage, but safely for the gliders to play, and keep it interesting.

And yes, of course they still jumped onto me, lol. But I don't mind, plus they returned to the top of cage for a bit longer before heading back inside the cage.

Oh my goodness, Ollie and Skadoosh had a blast up top on Wednesday night's out of cage play. Lulu copped an attitude when she decided she rather head down to the floor and I wouldn't let her. So she decided to go into the cage and sulk.

I added a few things today, including a Custom Cage Liner from Jana. I love it and am excited to get the trio out for playtime!
