www.amazon.com/MidWest-Critter-162-leak-Proof-Measures/dp/B001NJ0DAY/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=double+critter+nation+cage&qid=1562904348&s=gateway&sr=8-3

can you order from amazon. NOT on sale is 250 US or 325 canadian?? about.
that is half the price.

Petsmart is in canada, the USA stores carry ALL LIVING THING cage for gliders,
is the SAME CAGE AS CRITTERNATION. At $220 US or 286 canada dollar??
maybe petsmart in canada can order one and have it shipped from US.

they also have a lot of sales on these websites, I have gotten a cage at 175$ US.

I only push these cause I have several of them and really like them.

I am also shopping for a new age now. I had purchased the "Madagascar" cage from Exotic Nutrition and have now discovered that my gliders can fit through the bars in certain spots! My poor girl was found in the laundry room this morning. I'm so upset because she could have been hurt or lost... she is not yet bonded and gave us a hard time when we tried to catch her. It was a traumatic experience for all of us.

Thank you, BYK, for recommending a cage. I was wondering if anyone else uses that cage and can also vouch for it. I want to be sure before I spend the money on another cage. Thank you!

been using midwest/petsmart critter nation cage 4 to 6 years and NOT ONE glider
escape out of cage when DOOR CLOSED. we had a few escape our hands or shoulders.
we do have a few small rust spots on bottom bars.
Also a good way to catch is to use a small blanket and put it over them, when
they slow down you can usually get them scooped up in blanket easier.

a thick tie wrap on the cage bars may eliminate that opening.

if you live 100 miles from US border, I would take a road trip to petsmart, just call ahead to see if they have one.

Or can't you just order one from PETSMART? I see they have some of
them in canada. or call any pet store near you and see if you can
order one cheaper, maybe tariffs? but us and canada suppose to be tariff
friendly?

I'd cross the border, take cage out of box, throw parts in the trunk and if
someone asked what is was, I'd some old cage I left in there if there is some high tariff.

So, I did end up purchasing the critter nation cage. I'm concerned about a couple of things after putting it together:

javascript:self.parent.imageleft('/glidergossip/Photos/22093/2019072613595020190723_160338%255B1%255D.jpg')

1 - The hinges look rusty. Is this a problem? Will WD-40 take care of it?

javascript:self.parent.imageleft('/glidergossip/Photos/22093/2019072614050020190723_160405%255B1%255D.jpg')

2 - The cage doors are not lined up right. It makes them harder to open and close and leaves a space that I am worried will allow for glider escapes! Is there a fix for this?

I really don't want to have to go through the hassle of returning the cage since I bought it online from Amazon. Any advice?

I wouldnt worry about the hinges. I would not put any chemicals on the hinges/cage.

I would check the sides of cage for door alignment. the sides have a slot and
pole setup. I would make sure all the poles are in the slots. then I would make sure everything feel into place properly, tight and 100 percent inserted.
maybe just move around the front some could help the front door. mine don't lineup 100% accurate but not that far off either. but even so that gap looks
smaller then the bar gaps. so I dont think a glider could escape.
