Hi Im not sure if there are still many people using this site, but thought id give it a try. I recently adopted two Male gliders, a young one just 12 weeks old and (ollie) and his father about two years old (flip). Ive been bonding with them for three weeks now and everythings been going great. Everytime i come near to the cage now the young one jumps on the bars almost asking me to let him out to play :) the older one likes to come out of the cage too but not as much as Ollie does. But often when i have them both running around on me the older one has a habit of biting me on my collarbone pretty hard. Hasnt drawn blood yet but it hurts. I was wondering if this is just a thing that takes time or can i eventually train him to stop doing it? The past owner told me he didnt really spend any time with him at night at all.

If anyone sees this thanks in advance!

Our gliders sometimes will find a spot they think needs grooming. they will
start to chew then start to dig with their teeth. it will quickly start to hurt
as they are doing their duties of grooming me. they will slowly cut my skin and
draw blood. so I will just gently push them away. if they return to continue
the grooming, i gently push them away again.
yours could be grooming or just thinking they found something to eat, a smell
or taste. I would start by just moving them or him away from that spot or maybe
offer them a treat.
If I forget to wear my socks, the feet are a favorite. they will lick and chew
at old skin and can be painful so I move them away or put on socks.

Ahh okay, he must be trying to groom me then. Cause aprt from this he doesnt show any violent behaviour and it does seem like he enjoys my company. Thanks for your reply I'll give it a try! :)
