Flying Squirrel


Flying Squirrels and sugar gliders look very similar. Many times a person finds a squirrel in their home and they think it is a sugar glider and odds are that it is not. You can compare a flying squirrel to a sugar glider in the photos below to see the differences. The most obvious difference is the lack of a big black spot on the forehead of the squirrel. Flying squirrels also have a flattened tail whereas sugar glider tails are more full, busy, rounded and longer.
