Newborn

Female sugargliders are able to conceive young at about one year old. After about 16 days in the mother, the baby is born. It must then find its way to the mother's pouch where it will finish its development outside the womb. In the pouch the baby is kept safe and warm and is nourished by one of four available teats. I didn't know the female was pregnant until after the baby was born and I noticed the lump in her tummy. You can see the baby moving around and occasionally poking his legs through the pouch opening.
