Feb 11, 2014 Help Posted by: Glidermama02Does anyone know how to post pictures on the journals? If somplz hlp Feb 11, 2014 Things I learned in two years with my girls Posted by: Kothy I wish I had as much knowledge then as I do now. I am writing this for all new owners. A couple of things I do to make my time with the girls better. I have a sweat suit I wear when I am playing with them, It's a hoodie. As they use me for a landing point, and they were always landing on my head. I wash it once a week and they pee and poop on it but I don't care. I also have a small bathroom, that has a dimmer in the lighting and I have re arranged it to be glider safe. That is where we play. I get up every morning at 5Am just for there play time as they are ready for bed and this is there happy time. I stopped giving them treats with my fingers and now feed them I the palm of my hand, this way they don't bite me, they use to bite thinking I was giving them a treat. I also wash my hands with a an unscented soap before we play. the smell of soap to them can smell like food. I check them over every day to make sure they are clean, and with out any issues. I had a bad scare when my biggest girl was 6 months, she was bleeding from her rectum, it turned out to be a parasite and I had to take them to the vet and had to administer medicine to both of them, it put our bonding time on hold as I had to force them to take there meds. Both girls never liked being picked up, but we are bonded and they love to ride my back and they come when I call them. There cage cost me a small fortune but it was worth it and I am glad I bought a real good one to start. So if you are reading this and you are a new owner, I can tell you Gliders Take a lot of time, but if you put the time in you will have a great time with them. I still am amazed at how smart they are.
Feb 9, 2014 Ugh i cannot wait! Posted by: gliderlove22My first two gliders died this weekend from an unknown illness. I love the little critters so i went to look for some more to purchase. I went to The Pet Glider and one of them melted my heart! Feb 5, 2014 Feb 2, 2014 lineage Posted by: snoodle65I am still trying to figure out what people are talking about when they say sugar gliders need lineage. i do not seem to find a page that would show a diagram like when you have your dog registered and you get paper on him. I know i have rescues and i am not going to breed. Taz has been fixed Feb 2, 2014 Taz Posted by: snoodle65Well have had Taz for a week now. He is a crabby little man. the person who had him was not nice. when I picked him up his sleeping pouch was a pair of underwear and yea I said underwear and his cage was very unsafe. so i had to put him in with Vail and they have been doing great with each other. no fighting. they have been a great delight. i am building a new cage for them

I'd be extremely happy to adopt another glider or even a pair of gliders ( not wanting to breed ) our glider is fixed and can't have babies. Please message me or txt /call 9317435731 if anyone has some precious gliders for adoption. Thanks so much :) and god bless Jan 30, 2014 Want a Sugar Glider Posted by: AhsakaHello everyone, my name is Akasha. About half a year ago I came across 'PocketPets' in the mall and they showed me some sugar gliders. I got to hold them and they crawled all over me and I think I might have actually cried. The guy there gave me all kinds of "buy these gliders they are better than any other pet ever" advice so...naturally I went to research more about them. As far as I can tell there is nothing not completely amazing about sugar gliders. So now I'm looking for some that I can actually afford. Affordable for me would be under $200 so if you have some for that much or close to it please contact me here. Even though I may not have much money doesn't mean when I get gliders that they will be neglected...I assure you that when I get my gliders they will have the best home I can give and I will love them forever and ever and never let them go. I'll do all I can to give them the most perfect life any glider could wish for. I live in VA, can't travel to far, and refuse to ship any animal ever. If you have any questions about anything I would be happy to answer them. (Let me sum up some details. I DIDN'T listen to Pocketpets, that's why I said I researched elsewhere, I understand these animals are expensive but there are lots of them on here that need new homes and lots of people selling them for under $200. Just the other day I saw a post where a college student wanted to sell their glider for $300-$400 and everyone that posted on there said that she probably wouldn't be able to sell them for that much even with the cage and everything! I know how to take care of animals, I've done it all my life. Tranches, scorpions, snakes, lizards, ferrets, possums, farm animals, and plenty more. All I need is someone close by willing to give me time to pay one off. I'm not just jumping into it and I've given it serious though, I'm going to be patient, and I'm going to take care of them when I get them. I'm not asking for two sugar gliders under $200 with a cage...I'm going to buy them separately. ) Jan 29, 2014 sugar gliders needa help getting along Posted by: benderandrogerI just got a my second glider and i had my first one for about a month now he is a year old and is great his name is bender and my new one is roger ans bender is sweet and mice to roger but all roger does when i inteoduce them is crab and run away roger is only six months and there both males this has been going on for a week im wondering how to get them to get along Jan 29, 2014 Big Guy Died Today Posted by: kazkoBig Guy died this morning. I noticed him clamped to the bottom of the cage as they do and removed him to sadly die alone. As time passes it becomes more vague as to when I acquired each of these critters and where they came from but it is all in my journal. Big Guy and Lil Guy came together as siblings and I have been adding neutered boys to them ever since. Big Guy was 10 and a half years old.
The remaining 6 boys will miss him and I now have to watch for dynamics changes in the cage because this is exactly when they can happen.
