Hi we'll I am 13 and inherited my babies from my cousin who couldn't take of them. Well that was when I was 9 and now life is insane. And I just don't think I have been giving my babies enough love and care. So I have been having trouble with deciding what to do. Should I sell them and if so where. Should I give them to a rescue and if so where or should I rehome them for free if so how. I have been trying to get help form people from all over the world. But they just aren't giving ,e the right answers so. What do you think. I'm going in blind to this so help me see. And this is very hard for me so ill I'm asking is for you to be light on the talk about I was way to young to my babies in. I've had it before and it just makes me feel worst about what I'm doing .sthanks for listening.

 Calcium?!

I read something online about taking egg shells and baking them in the oven and then putting them in a blender to blend into a powder to use to sprinkle on my girls food for a calcium supplement. Has anyone ever done this or think its a good idea?

 Already a week gone

For the first time Dingo didn't snip at me! How exciting :) I let both of them out earlier and they actually came over to sniff me, I didn't even have to pick them up. When we did potty time (I always do when I first get them out) neither of them even crabbed. I've been sitting around watching movies while they lounge in the hood of my sweatshirt for a few hours as well.
Making huge gains! :)

First entry, day 3 of suggie parenthood

We're sitting on the couch with the babies asleep in our hoodies (too cute!). Erwin has stopped biting, but she still loves to jump. Neither of them are letting us pick them up out of the cage still, but Erwin does come out and play quite a bit. Dingo is still very skittish, but she's cuddling with Jonathon and she cuddled under my hair earlier :) she HATES the bonding pouch and crabs the entire time she's in it. I hope she starts to trust us more.
We found the babies love apples and cauliflower, not so much spinach though.
Our doggy, cooper, is still very curious about them.
We're very hopeful for the babies and having a couple of best buds eventually :)

 Choosing Nail Cutting Tool

Posted by: viciousencounters
-----
For a long time now I have been using human nail clippers to cut my girls nails. I never thought much of the tool I used to do it until recently.

When I cut my girls nails with the standard nail clippers it started to really bother me that they would pull back as if it was uncomfortable after I cut a nail, they don't crab just retract.
After talking to Omis n Kais g-ma about it she got me a pair of the trimmers she uses. These are designed for cylindrical nails and are called claw scissors.

Right away I noticed that the retraction was absent while I cut nails with the scissors. It obviously was not uncomfortable for any of my four like the clippers were. On top of that I was not afraid of snipping off a toe or cutting off to much nail because I could easily see the white tip needing trimmed on the other side. So I decided to see how precise the cut would be on a larger object for both types of trimmers. I tried both trimmers out on an uncooked noodle and an eraser, for both cylindrical objects the claw scissors had cleaner cuts. This leaves me to believe that the tool needs to be used for it's intended shape, it actually matters, and the nails have less fabric catch when the correct tool is used.

The Claw Scissors made a difference. Since there is not so much discomfort when I cut the nails they don't retract so it takes less time, easy to see the nail tip that needs to be cut, and the cleaner cut doesn't catch fabrics as much as the rough cut does.

My Gliders make me eat better!

Because i am such a picky eater, it just so happens that my gliders are forcing me to eat new foods. Anything i feed my gliders i feel i at least need to try! Well now i eat half an apple every day, while they eat an apple slice. Or i eat an avocado snack while they do too...you get the gist. Not only do my babies make me extremely happy, but they are making me healthy now too!

 Possible new additions!

About 4 months ago we re homed Grizzles. Built him a big new house, got him on a good diet (LGRS suggie soup), and of course bonded with him. He was a lone glider for his whole life so far (5-6 years). The past two months I have been searching to find him a friend or friends. I contacted a few people looking to rehome their gliders. Most of them were asking way too much to rehome their glider and didn't want to be "low balled". A friend recently told me that his sister wante to rehome her two female gliders. I contacted her and am waiting to hear back from her. I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet since I know he doesn't want to re home them but does so they can get the attention they deserve, but I'm very excited to have a promising lead! I really want my baby to be happy and can't wait to bring some friends home for him. It would make my holiday if we get to re home these two girls! Keeping my fingers crossed!
