: : Melinda,

: : I agree with EVERYTHING that you said with the exception of the bonding pouch carrying.. Right now she is scared to death of him, he never has given her a chance to find her "safe zone", not the cage nor with him, what he needs to do is let her stay in her cage, for a few days, and do nothing more than offer her treats. When SHE is ready she will come out, it will also give him a chance to gliderproof the room. He said he studied the trust and bonding pages, but, mine specifically states to allow the glider a chance to get used to it's surroundings, he has been chasing her since he got her, starting in the car, the first night when she got out of the cage, the next day,, etc.. he really needs to give her a chance to get a safe feeling..I know He wants so badly to bond with his glider, that he is overlooking what she may really need..

: Scott, in my honest opinion, I belive in hindside Bourbon is right.

: The best thing for you to do for her for the next few weeks is leave her in the cage.

: She's gone through an awful lot of stress these past days..and even though you love her

: and want so much for her to love you back, she see's this stress directly caused by you.

: I know that sounds horrible..and belive me when I first got my glider, i was guilty of it too,

: but its the truth. You need her to trust you more than anything. This is the basis, and the most important

: thing in glider bonding.

: Best of luck to you Scott...and know that we've all been there too!! ;)

: Melinda

: Ps. Always listen to what Bourbon and Ms Shell have to say...its gospel in these parts!! :o)

Well melinda you say Keep her in there for a couple of weeks. Bourbon says a couple of day. I will do this, but I need a certain number. Lets say 3 days? If you think longer then write me and tell me. How should I offer her treats? Give it to her through the cage, or should I open the door and offer it from my hand?

P.S. I'm going to miss her under my shirt!
