I completely agree. I have responded on a few, than after so many kept popping up I felt the same way.

FACT: The asgv "group" and website are brainchild of Vir gil Klu nder, P P P and G R E, Inc., in Florida, to assist in their marketing of sugar gliders and their overall efforts at disinformation.

FACT: Dr Brust is acting like a whore for selling himself to P P P to help support their mass marketing of sickly and unweaned sugar gliders that we all know a large percentage die soon after being sold to mis-informed buyers. This is even moreso true if he ever uses the excuse that he didnt research his partners before signing up.

OBSERVATION: Dr Brust supports misinformation and the selling of sick animals for profit.

Dr Brust is an asshole for jumping on board with these people and his posted "information" is not even of his own doing and is very misleading. You'll never guess who manages his wonderful group of self-marketing websites?

Ditto. Some other and myslef have been spreading the word about mill breeders on myspace, and facebook. it's rediculous these animals whom have done nothing, have to die because of greedyness and stupidity.it just angers me so.

We have people from unmentionable glider mills come here often to either promote their wares OR start trouble. If that is not the case with you, JediMasterMatt - then we are sorry. You have to understand WHY we are suspicious when someone brand spanking new comes here with a first post like yours.

Dear Rita, I do not mean to offend you, but you've been on my back since I became a member here yesterday! I came to this site because I thought I would be able to get 'friendly' advice from the community, but most of the time I get replies to posts with very negative tones.

I came here as a newbie doing research BEFORE I decide to buy any sugar gliders, and like most newbies who do research on the internet, we get sucked into the whole 'glossy, perfect pitched' websites such as PPP and ASGV that have incredible sales pitches because search engines show them to be the most popular or 'best rated'...only to find out later that its all been a mirage and orchestrated.

After coming here, I received conflicting information which now I believe to be the truth, because of a few helpul members that SHOWED me why I was wrong to believe in those websites, INSTEAD of 'barking' at me like I didn't belong here.

I will always be a member here because I have a 'thick skin' but just think of all the potential members you're scaring away by the negativity on this blog. I want to be friends with everyone here and an active part of this community, but some people do make that a little harder.

....secondly, I came to this blog with an original post like mine because I was so confused as to why almost everything I 'first' learned on the internet about sugar gliders through PPP and ASGV was wrong. How would you feel if everything you first learned about, and got you excited about sugar gliders was suddenly taken away from you and trashed? Only to find that you have to re-educate yourself all over again because you were originally lied to.

I am on a better path now because of a few members here, because they took the time to explain to me about who PPP really is and why a certain vet is pushing a food that is not good for sugar gliders. People need to be educated about sugar gliders and that's why most of them come here.

Poor Dr Brust. I think he was presented with the opportunity to be the faceman for a company and their products and it was an opportunity to earn money as well as probable credence in the community. Instead he got on a contract he didnt understand with people he didnt research and I have no doubt that they own his soul right now no matter how much he dislikes it. I'll bet they screwed him big time. Hopefully the souring of his image in the community will at least get those folks to end the contract which will in turn release him from the hell he is probably in now.

You should see their employment contract. I cant read it without giggling constantly wondering what idiot would sign this. Perhaps that is just because I'm an American.

JediMasterMatt, actually, I DID go thru hell when I first joined this forum. They hurt my feelings and sometimes even made me cry. I made up my mind no one would run me off. It challenged me to read, read and then read some more to learn everything I possibly could regarding my new found fur babies. I was hell bent on proving I was not an idiot. Im still here over 3 years later. Ya know what? All those people who were here when I first joined have not been seen or heard from in years.

So I DO understand.

Now, you have to understand how many times someone has "just" joined this forum - only to spew P P P in everyone's face. We have a lot of new owners here who dont know anything about all of this and it is our place to inform them and protect them and their gliders. So, yes, we do get fierce about it.

And, Ive already said if this is not your intentions, then I was sorry.

Rita, thanks for your last post, and I do understand your point. As with all blogs on the internet this is an issue. During the 2008 Presidential campaign, the candidate's blog I supported was inundated with 'trolls' there pretending to be supporters of my candidate, but really there to just start trouble and spread lies...so I do understand why members here are weary of new people, but in the process of weeding these troublemakers out, we have to make sure we're not being over agressive with potential new members that need help and guidance.

As a new member I look forward to your advice and opinions because I realize that you can never learn too much about sugar gliders, especially from experienced owners.
