okay so i have had a glider for six months i can't spend as much time with him as he deserves but hes not neglected or anything i play with him lots but lets face it i cant stay up all night when i have school and such to play so i have saved up some birthday money about 270 dollars im allowed to spend 150 of it on him and have to save the rest so... with this money should i get him a friend (this sounds best to me) or a new cage i could probably get him the new cage around christmas time or maybe sometime in jan/feb his current cage is 3x3x3 in dimension so yeah insite please!!

If you used the money for another glider approx. how much time do you have them out of the cage so they can stretch their little membranes? My first thought was definetly get him a friend, but they can get misrable without space too.

i could have them out from 1-3 hours a night

My first thought was friend first too. However, the friend would have to come with a cage so you could do the proper introductions. You may be able to find a good deal on a used cage online.

Yeah I thought of this after I posted also, maybe you could get lucky enough to find one that comes with a good enough cage for the 30 day quarantine. In all actuallity it would be pretty close to christmas before you could put them together anyhow.

Get a friend and build a cage!! This is the best of both worlds... check out your local craigslist listings, and check out the classifieds on all the forums... check out any rescue people in your area too...

okay ill try that but so far i havent found any suggies under 100 dollars so itd have to be a pretty cheap build also im 14 so id need my dad to do it.. and hes got alot going on right now

well if i were you, take some of that cash and just build your own cage. You can make a 6 foot cage for less than 100 dollars, and they will go nuts over it. Then with whatever you have left, you may be able to find a good rescue nearby that you can get another glider from :)

Even at 14, I bet you can handle the materials it takes to build a cage... I think it would be a fun project for you. Why don't you approach Dad, and let him know YOU want to build a cage, do all the research, then ask him for guidance/help? Make it YOUR project, not his. I bet it would be a good bonding process for you guys too.

Look on craigslist and try to find one that comes with a cage...then you kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I got my first gliders (2 neutered males) + 5 ft hand made cage + small travel cage for $100 total. You just have to keep an eye open.

PS if you can't find one for under $100, just ask them if they will take less! Most people, if they really care about finding them a good home, will have no problems budging from their price if they feel they have found a good home.
