So my right lymph node is swollen and I have an ear infection and they think it might be mono could my glider get mono or anything else from me? Can I still have play time? I was really tired and didn't feel like playing but those little faces staring at you are just to cute to ignore.

I dont think there are many illnesses (if any) that can be passed from human to animals but of course there are diseases that can be spread from animal to human. So id say you can take them out as normal, i dont think its a problem

The only things you have to worry about are those that spread by contact. When I had pink eye I skipped a night to make sure the meds had it clearing up before. I chanced them getting it. I think I remember mono is spread by wet contact so don't lick your gliders and you should be fine.

Actually a lot of illnesses can be spread from human to animal and animal to human, and they don't always become the same thing when they are spread. Say for instance we have a cold. It might not be deadly to us, but when transferred to a primate or a bird it can be lethal. Or there is a strain of herpes that monkeys can get which is fine for them, but are incredibly dangerous for humans. It is the same virus, but presents itself in different ways in different species. I don't know the affects of our illnesses on sugar gliders, but I would say to stay away from them when you are sick for a few days. Why chance it? Especially with something as big as mono. Make sure you wash your hands well when preparing food and before handling them. Those are just my suggestions.

monkeys are a bit different because they are so similar to us. I think a monkey's hepatitis B is not deadly to them, but it is deadly to us. And our hepatitis A is not deadly to us, but is very deadly to primates. I feel like Mono is a very human illness and i dont think it can be spread to the gliders. like previously stated wash your hands before handling them etc. But yes, don't take the chance if you're worried

thanks for the advice everyone I will definitely wash my hands before preparing their food and no I wont lick them lol maybe I'll just get them out for a few minutes after I put the food in but not very long?
