I just hope she doesn't take all this judgement and name calling to heart. Hopefully it will be a lesson in the kind of adult she doesn't want to grow up to be like, and I truly wonder if these people who are being so cruel to her are this cruel to their own children when they make a mistake.
And I don't think she made a mistake... yes, her glider was showing signs of illness but the person who could drive her to the vet was at work...and I'm sorry, maybe you all have the kinds of jobs where you can walk up to your boss and say, Hey I have to leave to take my kids glider to the vet,...and your boss would be a-ok with that but not all have that luxury. But she obviously knows the limits of her fathers job. Maybe he can't even take personal calls while on the job...who knows!
But it seems like there wouldn't be an issue with her had she called her father, he left work and the glider passed before he made it home, but because she didn't, she held her glider as it passed,...which I have seen numorous times on here...she is getting strung up by the lynch mob!
Maybe her father had been out of work and that's why money is tight...maybe he just got this job so she knew he couldn't risk leaving for fear of losing it... fact is, we don't know... and calling a child names isn't going to change a thing about this situation. I believe the earlier posts of people giving future advice could be helpful for her,...maybe her father can look into Care Credit...many don't even know it exists...
Either way Sugar, if you come back and read any of this try not to be too upset about the nastiness. Gleen what you can from the advice given to help your current gliders and maybe talk to your dad about what you should do in the future should something like this happen. Hugs to you sweetie.
