Soon to be new owner of 2 gliders. HELP

So I'm about to become a new owner of two joeys...first time owning sugar gliders....I have everything but their wheel...I'm unsure what wheel is best, I've seen/heard terrible things about woodent wheels....but I'm also confused about how the stealth wheels are safe for their little fingers/toes if people say the slits in hamster balls will break them? Won't the mesh like lining do the same thing?? I just want a safe wheel for my babies...help please!!

My female sugar glider has been doing something really odd lately. Every now and then when i pull her out of the cage her toes are curled, and she cant uncurl them without me helping her do so Her legs still move, so i dont think its a calcium deficiency but i just dont know. She just had twins that are about 2 weeks ootp and i dont know if them nursing has anything to do with it. Please help me!

 FREE SUGAR GLIDERS AND SET-UP!

My son lives in Birmingham, Alabama and has 3, 1.5/2 year old gliders--all neutered....1 male (dad) and 2 females. He can no longer care for them and wants to give them away along with equipment set-up that includes a tent he used when he first got them. He doesn't want to charge anything for the pets or the equipment....just wants to find a good home for these adorable pets. I have volunteered to help him find that good home so if you are interested, please send your contact information and I will put you in touch with him so you can visit about the gliders. Thanks

Introducing Two Male Gliders (Not Neutered)?

Posted by: KailahK

My male recently suffered the loss of his female companion, and unfortunately the only available suggie from my local breeder was a joey male. Now, I know better than to introduce them until the little guys buffs up. What I'm wondering is if it's possible to /eventually/ introduce them unneutered? The only local vet that has confirmed neutering is well over the price I'm paying for the new guy in the first place, so if I can save myself the golden nickel that'd be great...
My current boy, Ottoman, is a complete sweetheart and when the female was still here he wasn't really "dominant". He's kind of lonely now so I'm hoping that'll open his little furry brain to the new kid when he comes.
Should I try it out, and in the worst case scenario would it be alright to just neuter /one/ if I absolutely have to?

 Glider bonding

Okay so I bought daisy and she bit me in the beginning and stopped and was nice to me. Now she started crabbing again and bites hard and draws blood. I am not sure of her age but I'm thinking it's close to a year old. She will actually pull the food close to her and skip the food to bite me and then run away.

 New Glider

Posted by: LittleFoot
-----
Recently I adopted a male glider from a lady who used to use him for breeding; his mate recently passed away. She decided she wanted to get out of the breeding business. He is 2 years old and I am having some trouble trying to bond with him. I spend a good amount of time interacting with him. He lets me pet him and he wants to explore but I am afraid of letting him out on his own. I am not able to pick him up. What else can I do that would help him bond with me.

P.S. he takes food from my hand just fine. I always have dry food and water available for him in his cage and I cut up fruit and veggies for him daily. He also gets mealworms and a couple of yogurt drops every other day or when he is good and behaves.

Any suggestions are greatly welcomed! Thank You!

 PLEASE HELP pouch protective glider

Okay so I have had my RTMO for over a month (I have other gliders as well) and I cant stop him from being so pouch protective. It seems like anytime I disturb his sleep he crabs, and anytime I look in his pouch he crabs. I thought it was just from me being a new person to him, but whenever he's out of the pouch he's a total sweetheart. He spends just about all day everyday with me. He is alone right now, I am in the process of getting him a mate but I wanted to knock out his protectiveness first. Is there anything I should try?

And first couple days he didnt come out of his pouch really at all. And when i did try handling him the third day i got nipped a few times (not rough nips just like leave me alone nips) well last night he came to the door of the cage when i was by it he was playing in his cage and when i opened the cage he climber right up my arm and ran all over me when hed jump off me most the time i just had to say "pepe come back to mommy"and hed jump back on me. He played in my hair and everything. Does this mean he has bonded to me??

 Suggestions

I am new to the glider world. I'm not sure my little man is completely bonded to me. I've had him since October. Give him treats, spend tent time with him and he goes with me almost everywhere I go, but only in the travel pouch with the zipper. While in the tent he climbs all over me but won't stay in my hands. I'm afraid to put him in my pocket and get out of the tent for fear he my jump off of me and I'll have a hard time getting him back. Any suggestions
