What time do your sugar gliders wake up at night?
How long are they awake?
Do your sugar gliders hate the light of like inside lights?
Do they hide when you turn the light on?

Thank you.

My gliders are up usually by 9:30pm and the light doesn't bother them (they will stay out with the light on) but they really start moving around once the lights are out. I'm not sure how long they stay awake since they are usually asleep before I get up but I know they are in bed before 5:30am.

My gliders get up around 8 normally, and usually go to bed around dawn. I've noticed they take naps though. As for the light, it depends for mine. If there is a light source on before they wake up, then they will stay asleep. However, if they are already up and playing they don't mind the light too much. If the light is too bright though, one will hide while the other just goes closer to the pouch.

Mine do exactly what Imthispersons does except one wakes up around 8:30 and picks out the goodies in the food and the other gets up about 30 minutes later.

Muffin wakes up around 10:30 and eats first, then usually after I go to bed Murphy gets up then they are up until 6:30 when I get up. Light makes them hide only if you start to pay attention to them. Kinda makes play time hard as they get active and I get sleepy watching them....UGH!!!

i have one male and one female that get up about 7:30, but they like about half and hour to an hour before they want to play. i have one male and one female that get up around nine as well. then about 11 they go back to bed for a while. they stay up until i come to see them in the morning, unless i am later than seven, then they give up and go to bed. i have changed about half of the lights in my house over to 15 watt and am still searching for a lower watt that fits the ceiling fixtures. if the lights are to bright they go statue. if i leave the lights on in their room, they all go back to bed.

Mine get up at 8:30 and it used to be on the dot, like clockwork, until the joeys came. Now it's more 8:30-9:00. They will still play with the light on, but we added a dimmer in that room and they are much more active when it isn't quite as dim without question.

Maverick and Dakota are strange. I usually have them in my shirt till about 1030 or 1100. I then wake them and let them move about for about half hour or so. Some more some less. At midnight it's peddle to the medal. In the morning I get up usually by 6 am and let them out for about 30-45 min. with the light on. The light doesn't bother them. I have not gotten out of bed past midnight with them. It's sleepy time for me.

I usually have mine in my shirt until about 11:30 PM or so and then they eat when they get back to their cage. They play, eat and nap off and on throughout the night. I get up at 5:30 but they have to wait until around 7:00 AM when my husband & kids are gone. Then I let them out to play in my bedroom with me for a while and then on their own. At some point they always end up curled up together in a pile of sweatshirts on the top shelf of my closet. Whenever I make it back upstairs, I get them out of the closet and put them back in their cage to sleep.

Oh and NO the lights do not bother them. I keep a low watt light on in the morning on my end table to deter them from playing on it and getting into my stuff but they don't let it bother them a bit!

sheesh... mine are late risers then... they dont get up until 3am most days... and theyre not in be til 12-1pm... i think its cause the room i'm in doesnt get any natural sunlight... so i'm saving up to rig the cage with some sun glo and night glo lamps so they can distinguish night from day and i can see them at night... im also rigging a heat clamp. i just bought myself a little 24 hour power center =) i'm excited.

All of them get out sometime between 8 to about 9:30 (when the last one crawls out). Some of them want to come out and play; some want to eat right away. Sometime between 11 and midnight when they've all eaten some and played some; they will go back for a nap; usually that's when I shut the house down for the night so no one is left to pay attention to them.

They get up throughout the night and play and eat; bark around 3-4 a.m. for attention; then again around 6-7 when everyone is getting up. If they get attention, they will stay up, if they don't; they will go to bed.

When I take them out during the day to play, they could care less if there is bright light or no light; they leap around everywhere. I have tried to use all the lights to lure them back to their pouch when playtime is over; and they will have none of that trickery. So I have to round them up individually and deposit them one by one back in their cage; then they still stay out and play for about 30 minutes in their cage, just to make sure no one is coming back for them.

Pauly and Rocko are usually up by six, and if dinner is not waiting they are miffed. They are very active when ever I see them, but they also seem to be up til eight or nine in the morning, so i am sure they take naps.
