Last night Tim and I had to go grocery shopping. I tried to get him to go on Saturday but he didn't want to.

When we walked out of the apartment hallway and outside there were bricks next to us to keep the wind from hitting us but it sounded like we were driving the wind was blowing so hard. It was very strange. Then we went to the car and it was shocking. Temperature on the car said 10 degrees. We went to wal mart and I stepped out of the car and realized I couldn't feel my feet. Every step was like walking on glass. When I got inside wal mart I Went into th ebathroom to check my feet. They were white and purple-ish but I could still feel them. I warmed them up a bit and we started shopping.

On the way home Tim's car emission light came on- that's never happened before and we did some reading that extreme cold could cause it. At that time the temperature said 3 degrees.

When we finally got the groceries inside and watched the news we found out we had -20 degree windchill with 35 mph winds. No wonder we felt like we were going to die. We each had our winter coats on and everything. Now I need to find my snow boots. Heh.

I know how you feel Ahsaehr. It has been that cold here too. One time it got down to -31 with windchill. It is to darn cold out side but we are going to have a white christmas though lol. I hope you stay worm thare and I will stay worm here.

I second that Brrrrrrrrr. It's darned cold in Missouri, too!

I remember a day in Columbus Ohio, it was 20 with a wind chill of 40 degrees, so it was actually -20. My breath froze on my glasses, I couldn't take them off because they were the only thing keeping my eyeballs from freezing solid, so I had to stop every eight steps or so and turn around to let the ice melt ... I guess that's the coldest I've ever been. Thank goodness for a wool coat!

geez. I thought, with the wind, yesterday and today was bad. Low actual temp was 41 today. yesterday a little colder.

Its supposed to get to 78 Christmas Day. With a low of 62 and that is a little brrr to me.

I love Florida.

I know how you feel Belinda, Mobile, Alabama is almost the same temp, although a little lower. But it's going to warm up again... the weather is crazy here.

And it is FREEZING COLD here too!

GnRM, my husband was born and raised in Columbus; we lived there for about four years in the late nineties. Then in 2000 my mom needed me in Texas, and so here I am! I'm an Army brat, I've lived all over, I'm not really "from" any one place ...

ITS 17 Here so cold !!! :(
